12/09/2009 -- We love the white sand and blue water. The accommodations are roomy, nicely decorated and well maintained. It has a perfect location. Since it is next to Henderson State Park, the beach is long enough so you don't feel crammed on the beach. The snack bar is convenient to grab a quick drink or bite to eat without having to leave the resort. We weren't able to sit on the beach because of hurricane Ike, but sitting on the balcony over looking the gulf was just as nice as sitting on the beach. I'm not a pool person but the pool is large enough for every one to sit around and relax. There are trees for shade and nice lounge chairs. There are few places we will stay in Destin, but this is at the top of our list.
