Songwriters from across the country, some famous, some just starting out, will converge in Walton County on Martin Luther King, Jr. weekend for the inaugural 30-A Songwriters Festival, produced by the Cultural Arts Association. Many existing restaurants, bars and other businesses along Scenic Highway 30-A will host over 50 artist who will share their diverse songwriting talents throughout the weekend.

Based on the 1998 hit film starring Adam Sandler and Drew Barrymore, The Wedding Singer tells the story of Robbie Hart, New Jersey's favorite wedding singer. Robbie has a desire to find the right girl and settle down, but when he finds her and she leaves him at the altar, he becomes broken-hearted and a wedding planner's worst nightmare. Every wedding he plays is a disaster until a charming waitress named Julia wins his affections. The only trouble is, she is about to be married and unless Robbie can pull off the performance of his lifetime, the girl of his dreams will be gone forever.

For the past 9 years, the United Way had held a dinner and silent auction event that has proven to be the largest fundraiser for the United Way and its 40 partner agencies. $1000.00 for Corporate Table of 10; $100.00 for Individual Tickets.
